Superintendent Maurice Leone has achieved six promotions throughout his 27 years with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. Throughout his tenure, Superintendent Leone has received the Outstanding Overall Achievement, Physical Fitness, Lifesaving, Sheriff’s Commendation, and Distinguished Metal awards; along with multiple letters of appreciation, recognition and commendable work. He has also been a member of the Special Response and Peer Support Teams. Superintendent Leone currently commands a staff of 500+ and along with the great men and women of the Jail Bureau, manages a population of approximately 800 incarcerated individuals. During his time away from the MCSO he enjoys fishing, hunting, and time spent with family and friends.
