Community
Services

Originally formed in 1947 as the Safety Education Division, the unit has grown both in manpower and scope of activities over the years.

The MCSO Community Services Unit is always out and about providing services to our community in various ways; from educational and crime prevention presentations to assisting schools and businesses with whatever need or questions they may have. Our community service deputies are also providing their support at community events throughout our county.

Interested in having the MCSO Community Engagement Unit support your event? Submit a Community Services Request Form here. Please allow us one week to respond.

The Community Services Unit of the Monroe County Sheriff's Office offers a full range of safety and crime prevention programs to the community. Each of our programs is presented by a uniformed officer on full-time assignment to safety education and crime prevention duties. Our objective for our programs is to help reduce vulnerability to crime and give community residents an opportunity to interact with a police officer in an informative and constructive manner
