Deputies Make Arrest on Rush-Henrietta School District Campus After Individual Fails to Comply with Law Enforcement
On October 9, 2026, at 8:52 a.m., Monroe County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a parking lot behind Rush Henrietta High School and the Elmer Gordon Stadium, to assist Rush Henrietta School District security, for the report of a suspicious group of individuals gathered around a vehicle.
Upon deputies’ arrival, all of the individuals, except for one, returned to the high school. Deputies asked the remaining individual, a 17-year-old male juvenile, multiple times to comply with their investigation, and he refused. The teen attempted to flee in the vehicle, then attempted to flee on foot, despite multiple commands by deputies not to do so. Deputies used subject management techniques to bring the teen into custody. No one was injured.
A 17-year-old male juvenile is charged with the following:
- Obstructing Governmental Administration (Class-A Misdemeanor)
- Resisting Arrest (Class-A Misdemeanor)
- Trespass (Violation)
- Unlicensed Operator (traffic infraction)
The teen was issued an expedited family court appearance ticket by Juvenile Probation.
We are grateful for our partnership with the Rush Henrietta School District and its security team.
