Deputies Proactive Response and Investigation Leads to Juvenile Arrest in Henrietta Stabbing
On August 18, 2026, at 11:52 a.m., a Monroe County Sheriff’s deputy on proactive patrol observed a juvenile holding knives while running across Lehigh Station Road in the Town of Henrietta. After crossing the road, the juvenile attempted to hide behind bushes nearby.
Assisting units responded to the residence and discovered another female juvenile suffering from stab wounds to the lower body. Without hesitation, deputies immediately rendered first aid to the victim while also clearing the home to ensure it was safe for responding EMS personnel.
The suspect was transported to MCSO B-Zone where investigators continued their case. Working with technicians at the scene and at the hospital, investigators were able to establish additional details surrounding the incident and identify evidence crucial to the case.
One Female Juvenile, 15, of Henrietta, charged with:
- Assault in the Second Degree - Class D-Felony
After processing, the juvenile was transported to Monroe County Family Court for arraignment. She was subsequently remanded to the Monroe County Children’s Detention Center.
This incident highlights the importance of proactive patrol, quick decision-making, and coordinated investigative work. Beginning with a deputy recognizing an armed juvenile on the roadway, the investigation quickly developed into a response to a serious violent incident with a victim in need of immediate medical attention.
