During normal business hours, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, media outlets are asked to send all inquiries to mcsocommunications@monroecounty.gov

Off hours (after 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, weekends, and holidays), media outlets are instructed to call the media Line at 585-753-2978 for information on developing/breaking news and incidents. The Watch Commander will, in turn, disseminate requested information to all local media outlets.

All other inquiries, including requests for “enterprise” stories, may be made by contacting the Communications Office at MCSOCommunications@monroecounty.gov. These requests will be answered during normal business hours.

Deputy David Marcucci

Deputy David Marcucci joined the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office with 19-years of law enforcement experience. As the Public Information Officer, Deputy Marcucci works as a member of the Communications Team to provide transparency and factual information to our community.  

Amy Young

Appointed by Monroe County Sheriff Todd Baxter, Amy Young serves as the Communications Director since 2018 and is a certified Master Public Information Officer dedicated to sharing the good stories of the MCSO.  Prior to joining our agency, Ms. Young had a successful journalism career as a television news anchor/reporter at Time Warner Communications (R News, YNN, etc.) and WROC-TV News 8.  Amy’s experience also includes Public Relations roles at Maximus and Pluta Cancer Center, serving as its Director of Development and Communications.
