Perinton, NY-(01/06/22) Update on the stabbing that occurred on 1/2/2022 in the Pines of Perinton. Through investigation it was determined that a resident in the apartment on Balsam Lane, Perinton, had a stay away Order of Protection against the suspect. The suspect forcefully entered the apartment at which time a neighbor, who was visiting the apartment, was stabbed multiple times by the suspect. The victim sustained serious, but non-life threatening injuries. The suspect fled the scene prior to our deputy’s arrival.
The MCSO Major Crimes Unit continued the investigation and was able to develop a suspect. On 1/5/2022, members of the MCSO TAC Unit located the suspect at an address in the City of Rochester. Deputies took the suspect into custody without incident.
At the conclusion of the investigation, MCSO charged Dante L. Hills, 31, Rochester, with Criminal Contempt
- 1st (Class-E Felony), two counts of Burglary
- 1st (Class-B Felony), and Assault 2nd (Class-D Felony)
Hills was arraigned in Perinton Town Court and remanded to MCJ on $50,000 cash/$75,000 bond. Excellent work by deputies and investigators!
