Henrietta, NY (September 12, 2022) Monroe County Sheriff's deputies arrested a man in Henrietta on September 7, 2022 for possessing an illegally modified rifle.
At 7:51 p.m., deputies responded to Myrtlewood Drive in the Town of Henrietta, for a suspicious incident. A concerned resident called 911 to report that four men were driving a gray truck around the complex. Occupants of the vehicle were said to be holding guns out the window of the truck in a threatening manner. While driving to the scene, deputies saw a vehicle matching the description and stopped it on Michel Drive. They detained the occupants and discovered two loaded guns in the vehicle, an illegally modified AR-15 style rifle and a shotgun. The gray 2019 Chevrolet Equinox also had switched license plates and a suspended registration.
Due to calls for shots fired on Myrtlewood Drive over the summer, MCSO Major Crimes Unit investigators responded to assist with the interview. The owner of the rifle was determined to be Ndayizeye J. Kennedy, 21, of Henrietta.
Mr. Kennedy is charged with:
- Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree (C Felony)
Mr. Kennedy was arraigned in Henrietta Town Court and remanded to the Monroe County Jail on $1,000
Cash, $5,000 bond and $10,000 Partially Secured Bond.
