Perinton, NY (April 21, 2023) On April 18, 2023 just before 4:00 in the afternoon, Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Lyons National Bank, at 1314 Fairport Road in the Town of Perinton, for a man attempting to cash a fraudulent check. Bank employees provided responding deputies with a good description of the suspect, and they were able to locate a man in the area matching the description quickly. After a brief conversation, deputies identified the man as Tommie Lidge, 33, of Buffalo. The deputies took Mr. Lidge into custody and escorted him back to the bank, where the staff identified him as the man trying to cash the check.
Deputies arrested Mr. Lidge and charged him with:
- Possession of a Forged Instrument in the Second Degree (Class D-Felony)
- Attempted Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree (Class E-Felony)
He was issued an appearance ticket and released.
