Deputy Hurley
An 18-year veteran of the MCSO Police Bureau, Deputy Hurley serves as the Public Information Officer. He is a certified Master PIO, a community Liaison, a diver on the SCUBA team, and has more than 10 years of instructing experience in multiple specialties. Utilizing his training and experience, Deputy Hurley is the spokesperson for the agency.
Amy Young
Appointed by Monroe County Sheriff Todd Baxter, Amy Young serves as the Communications Director since 2018 and is a certified Master Public Information Officer. Prior to joining our agency, Ms. Young had a successful journalism career as a television news anchor/reporter at Time Warner Communications (R News, YNN, etc.) and WROC-TV News 8. Amy’s experience also includes Public Relations roles at Maximus and Pluta Cancer Center, serving as its Director of Development and Communications.
