Henrietta, NY (April 18, 2023) On March 24, 2023 at about 9:48 in the evening, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office received information from ESL Federal Credit Union of suspects trying to install a skimmer device in the ATM at 2550 East Henrietta Road. Our major crimes unit has been following a crime pattern of credit card skimmers being placed on ATMs across New York State. Upon arrival, deputies found two men and a juvenile who matched the description given to them by ESL. Deputies detained the men and transported them to the B Zone substation for questioning. Investigators identified one man as Radeck Bohdan, 31, of the Czech Republic. The juvenile is a 17-year-old Romanian citizen. The third man gave investigators a false name and had fake Italian identifications in his possession. He is identified as Danut V. Urseiu, 30, of Romania.
Danut V. Urseiu is charged with:
- Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the second degree (Class D-Felony)
- Criminal Mischief in the third degree (Class E-Felony)
- Conspiracy in the fifth degree (Class A-Misdemeanor)
- Unlawful possession of a skimmer device in the second degree (Class A-Misdemeanor)
Radeck Bohdan is charged with:

Deputies brought Mr. Urseiu to Henrietta Town Court for arraignment, where he was released to Pre-Trial Services. Deputies notified U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, who responded and took custody of Danut Urseiu because of his non-citizen status. Mr. Bohdan was issued an appearance ticket and released. The juvenile was released with no charges.
