On August 15, 2025, Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies began an investigation into the report of a stolen work pickup truck from a local dealership on Marsh Road in Perinton. On August 25, 2025, a suspect illegally entered multiple vehicles in a West Henrietta Road parking lot, stealing various property and a credit card that was subsequently used at a store on Mt. Hope Avenue.
Following a thorough investigation, the MCSO Criminal Investigation Section identified the individual responsible as Richard Robson. On September 08, 2025, deputies arrested Robson, a repeat offender and prolific lifelong criminal who has amassed 29 felony arrests and 16 misdemeanor arrests since 2005.
Richard R. Robson, 39, of Rochester is charged with:
- Grand Larceny in the Third Degree (Class D-Felony)
- Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree (Class E-Felony)
- Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree (Class E-Felony)
- Identity Theft in the Second Degree (Class E-Felony)
- Petit Larceny (Class A-Misdemeanor) (3 counts)
Robson was transported to the Monroe County Jail, arraigned in CAP Court and held on no bail.
