On June 11, 2024, at 9:45 in the morning, Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Wegmans at 2157 Penfield Road in the Town of Penfield for the report of a known individual causing a disturbance. The Wegmans’ Asset Protection team observed an individual entering the store, whom they identified as the suspect of a robbery that occurred the day before at the Pittsford Wegmans. The individual exhibited aggressive behavior; throwing merchandise at employees and kicking signs in the store, before fleeing into a wooded area behind the store. Deputies arrived on scene, located the suspect, and after a brief foot chase took him into custody. The investigation revealed Michael Lamb entered the Pittsford Wegmans just before 6:00 p.m. on June 10, 2024, selected merchandise and left the store without paying. Upon being approached by Wegmans Asset Protection in the parking lot, Lamb reacted with aggression, proceeded to threaten the employee, and exposed his genitals.
