On December 10, 2025, at 1:21 pm, Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies received the report of a 2019 KIA Sorrento that was stolen from the parking lot of 3750 Monroe Avenue in the Town of Pittsford. Deputies used camera footage to discover the vehicle was stolen from the parking lot at 12:20 pm.

The owner of the vehicle told deputies they had the keys with them after they parked the vehicle. As deputies continued their investigation, the vehicle owner was able to provide information about the current location of the vehicle.

Deputies used the information to locate the vehicle at 3:09 pm, driving around in the City of Rochester. Deputies attempted to stop the stolen KIA, but the driver refused to comply and led police on a pursuit in the city. The pursuit lasted only a few minutes before deputies lost sight of the vehicle.

Deputies continued to search the area for the vehicle and at 3:24 pm, located the vehicle in a parking lot off Ward Street in Rochester. Deputies found the vehicle was not occupied and used camera footage to confirm four suspects ran from the KIA after it was parked. A description of the suspects was broadcast as deputies remained in the area to continue their search. Moments later, deputies observed three suspects, matching the description, walking down a street near where the KIA was parked. Deputies watched the three suspects enter a gray SUV as passengers, and the driver attempted to leave. Deputies were able to quickly move in to conduct a traffic stop, and the driver complied. The three suspects were safely taken into custody, the fourth suspect remains outstanding.

Deputies transported the suspects to MCSO A-Zone and investigators interviewed the individuals. Following the interviews, deputies completed the arrest of:

Paolina N. Serrano-Rodriguez, 18, and Radayzel M. Torres, 20, both female, of Rochester, are charged with:

  •  Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Third Degree (Class D - Felony)

Following their arrest, deputies transported Serrano-Rodriguez and Torres to Monroe County CAP Court where they are awaiting arraignment.
