On Monday, April 15, 2024 at 4:23 p.m., Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies responded to Designer Shoe Warehouse (DSW), located at 720 Jefferson Rd. in the Town of Henrietta, for the report of a larceny. A description of the suspect vehicle was broadcast, and while en route to the store, a deputy observed a vehicle matching the description. A traffic stop was initiated on Jefferson Rd. at Jay Scutti Blvd. While detaining the driver, Kenneth Williams, a female passenger, Christian Adams, got into the driver’s seat of the vehicle and drove away. In the process, Adams struck an MCSO patrol vehicle, causing damage to it. A deputy also suffered an injury to his hand while attempting to get Adams to exit the vehicle.
Deputies, joined by New York State Police, pursued the vehicle, operated by Adams, who drove northbound on W. Henrietta Rd. Adams continued through the Town of Brighton and into the City of Rochester, committing numerous traffic infractions along the way.
At Melrose St. and Woodbine Ave., Rochester, a female passenger, Shayla Glenn, exited the vehicle and a Monroe County Sheriff’s deputy detained her. Meanwhile, the vehicle continued traveling through the City and made an abrupt turn at 362 Arnett Blvd., crashing into a building. Rochester Police Officers arrived to assist.
Ms. Adams got out of the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot, and deputies were able to take her into custody. AMR ambulance transported Adams to a local hospital for evaluation pursuant to her complaints of pain.

- Reckless Endangerment 2nd Degree (Class A Misdemeanor; 1 count)
- Resisting Arrest (Class A Misdemeanor; 1 count)
- Obstructing Governmental Administration (Class A Misdemeanor; 1 count)
- Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs (Misdemeanor)
- False Personation (Class B Misdemeanor; 1 count)
- Uniform Traffic Tickets (UTTs; numerous)
- Numerous Warrants
- Reckless Driving (Misdemeanor)
Shayla Glenn, 39, Rochester is charged with:
- Petit Larceny (Class A Misdemeanor; 1 count)
Kenneth Williams, 64, of Rochester is charged with:
- Petit Larceny (Class A Misdemeanor; 1 count)
- Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 3rd Degree (Misdemeanor)
Adams was found to have multiple warrants, and was remanded to the Monroe County Jail pending arraignment.
Glenn was found to have multiple warrants, arraigned in Henrietta Town Court, and remanded to the Monroe County Jail on $1K cash bail, $5K bond.
Williams was released with an appearance ticket.
