On June 2, 2025, at 9:00 p.m., Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies noticed two people getting into a suspicious vehicle at the Marathon gas station on Penfield Road in the Town of Penfield. The 2010 blue Chevrolet Traverse with a broken rear window was reported stolen out of Ontario County. The driver refused to stop for deputies, leading them on a pursuit until the car broke down on Commonwealth Road in Brighton. Despite repeated orders to exit, the driver persistently attempted to restart the vehicle while both he and his passenger remained inside. Deputies persuaded both individuals to exit the vehicle, resulting in their apprehension and subsequent identification as Dejon Butler and John Pisano.
