On December 1, 2024, at 7:02 p.m., Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the parking lot of 1225 Jefferson Road in the Town of Henrietta for a larceny report. An unknown individual stole a 2000 Case 721c wheel loader, valued at $60,000.00.
On December 3, 2024, the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office located the stolen loader in the Town of Groveland. MCSO technicians processed the scene and recovered evidence from the loader. Upon analysis of video surveillance and the collected evidence, investigators developed a suspect.
On March 5, 2025, at 7:12 a.m., MCSO deputies located the suspect on Jefferson Rd. in Henrietta. When approached, he gave deputies a false name. David Tallman was taken into custody and transported to our B Zone substation for questioning.
David W. Tallman Jr., 46, of Henrietta is charged with:
- Grand Larceny in the Second Degree (Class C-Felony)
- False Personation (Class B-Misdemeanor)
Tallman was arraigned in Henrietta Town Court and released to pretrial supervision.
