On March 31, 2025, at 2:45 a.m., Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 7000 block of Fourth Section Road in the Town of Sweden for the report of a burglary in progress. A homeowner witnessed two males enter his garage and steal an ATV. One suspect operated the all-terrain vehicle eastward on Fourth Section Road, trailing a green Chevrolet Avalanche. Deputies located the Chevrolet Avalanche and the ATV in the area of Brockport Spencerport and Hubbell Roads and initiated a traffic stop. Attempting to avoid arrest, the suspect on the ATV sped through fields into Northampton Park and then into a heavily wooded area. The suspect, Jose Maisonet, was apprehended following a brief foot pursuit after the ATV became stuck.

Christian Robinson, who matched the description of the second suspect, was identified as the driver of the Avalanche. A female passenger, identified as Sarah Nicholas, was discovered to be in possession of cocaine. Deputies transported all three individuals to our C Zone substation for investigation.

 

Jose G. Maisonet Jr., 33, of Rochester is charged with:

  • Burglary in the Second Degree (Class C-Felony)
  • Grand Larceny in the Third Degree (Class D-Felony)
  • Assault in the Second Degree (Class D-Felony)

Christian A. Robinson, 50, of Webster is charged with:

  • Burglary in the Second Degree (Class C-Felony)
  • Grand Larceny in the Third Degree (Class D-Felony)
  • Assault in the Second Degree (Class D-Felony)
  • Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Vehicle (Unclassified Misdemeanor)

Sarah K. Nicholas, 50, of Rochester is charged with:

  • Burglary in the Second Degree (Class C-Felony)
  • Grand Larceny in the Third Degree (Class D-Felony)
  • Assault in the Second Degree (Class D-Felony)
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree (Class A-Misdemeanor)

 

Maisonet complained of face and shoulder pain from striking a tree branch while driving the ATV through the woods. He was transported to a local hospital where he was medically evaluated and released. Maisonet was arraigned in Centralized Arraignment Part (CAP) Court and remanded to the Monroe County Jail on $15,000 cash, $20,000 bond.

Robinson, a predicate felon, had an MCSO warrant for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property and was arraigned in CAP Court and remanded to the Monroe County Jail without bail.   

Nicholas was arraigned in CAP Court and remanded to the Monroe County Jail on $5,000 cash $20,000 bond.

 

The quick response by our overnight deputies to apprehend the suspects in multiple vehicles, locations and environments is to be commended.
