On February 12, 2025, Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies and the ATF Rochester’s Violent Crime Task Force executed a search warrant at a residence on Tumbleweed Drive in the Town of Henrietta. The search resulted in the seizure of 30 machine gun conversion devices, 20 large capacity ammunition magazines, four silencers, a ghost gun with a machine gun conversion kit, and four illegal assault rifles. One rifle is suspected of containing a machine gun conversion device within the trigger mechanism.

In January, U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents alerted the task force about suspicious packages arriving in Rochester from China. Upon further investigation, it was determined the packages contained a silencer and machine gun conversion devices. They were addressed to Dominic Migliorini in Henrietta. MCSO deputies assigned to the ATF Rochester’s Violent Crime Task Force led the local investigation and discovered several more deliveries to the same Henrietta address and quickly applied for a search warrant. Several uniformed deputies assisted with taking Mr. Migliorini into custody.

Dominic S. Migliorini, 19, of Henrietta is charged with:

  • Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree (Class D-Felony) (25 Counts)
  • Criminal Possession of a Firearm (Class E-Felony) (3 Counts)

Migliorini was arraigned in Henrietta Town Court and remanded to the Monroe County Jail on 28 felony charges, 21 of which are classified as violent felonies. He is currently held on a bail of $25,000 cash or $50,000 bond.

 

The ATF Rochester’s Violent Crime Task Force is comprised of federal agents, state, county and local police officers who all risk their safety on a daily basis to go after the most dangerous criminals in our community. As this case clearly shows, we cannot rest. If not for the continuous work of these courageous officers, many more deadly weapons would be in the hands of criminals right now.
