On 10/9/24 at approximately 11:58 a.m., an unknown older man entered a cashier line, unzipped his pants, and exposed his penis to a cashier.

GL 3rd–Stolen Vehicle / Northcroft Ct. / 24-181716

On 10/12/24 at 3:30 p.m., the victim parked his 2022 Kia Sportage in the driveway of his home. He states at 5:40 p.m. he heard a noise, and upon going outside, discovered his vehicle was missing. The vehicle was subsequently recovered in the City of Rochester.

PL–Arrest / Walmart 1990 Brandt Point / 24-184366

On 10-16-24 Aleia M. Thomas (27 yoa) stole $260 in clothing from Walmart before leaving the area. While responding to the scene, a deputy located Thomas and watched her hide the property. He subsequently detained her, recovered the property, and took her back to Walmart for a positive show-up. Thomas was issued an appearance ticket and released per NYS law.

GL 3rd / Criminal Trespass 3rd / Construction Site YMCA Way / 24-187061

Between 3:00 p.m. on 10-19-24 and 7:00 a.m. on 10-21-24, unknown suspects entered a construction site at the above location and stole a trailer containing $8,500 in tools and equipment.

GL 4th / CVS 1304 Fairport Rd. / 24-179516

On 10/09/24 at 12:30 p.m., an unknown man and an unknown woman described as wearing black leggings, a black jacket, black hat, and black sunglasses stole a large quantity of men’s cologne. While the woman distracted the clerk, the man went behind the counter and stole the cologne. They both fled the store.

On 10/17/2024 at about 3:30 a.m., the victim was walking home when three males, unknown to the victim, appeared from the bushes and began fighting him with no provocation. The victim was able to get away from them and get to his house.

Pittsford

Larceny /TJ Maxx 3349 Monroe Ave. / 24-181574

On 10/12/24 at 12:40 p.m., a member of Asset Protection observed a man with a gray backpack, black sunglasses, blue facemask, red baseball cap, red pants, and black shoes enter the store. The male took a shopping cart and walked directly to the men’s socks. He placed socks and a black backpack into the cart and passed all points of sale without rendering payment. Asset Protection confronted the male who ran away on foot, abandoning a portion of the merchandise.

GL 4th / Marshalls 3340 Monroe Ave. / 24-183498

On 10/15/24 at 5:20 p.m., a woman stole $1,131.51 worth of clothing from Marshalls. She was stopped outside, left the merchandise and got into the passenger’s side of an unknown dark colored Toyota Corolla or Ford Fusion. The driver was waiting for her with the trunk open. The vehicle then fled the scene.

On 10/9/24 between 7:15a.m. and 2:45 p.m., the victim parked his Phantom 4 Go-Go gray motorized scooter (value $600) at Thornell Park. Unknown suspect stole the scooter.

Update:

Believing the scooter was abandoned, a Town of Pittsford employee took it and placed it in the lost and found. The scooter was returned to owner.

GL 4th / DICKS 3349 Monroe Ave. / 24-179635

On 10-9-24 at 3:40 p.m., two females and two males entered DICKS. The four suspects went straight to the outerwear section, and each grabbed handfuls of jackets and coats. They left the store and got into a black Chevrolet Equinox. Photos sent to MCSO Social Media.

Around September 9th, 2024, a 74-year-old woman fell victim to a phone scam. The caller claimed she had won a sweepstake, and the victim paid the caller $1,700 in gift cards.

Exposure of a person / Endangering the Welfare of a Child / State St. / 24-186000

On 10/19/24 at around 12:14 p.m., deputies responded to the Starbucks in the Village of Pittsford for a male exposing himself inside the location. James Santilli (38 years of age) was located by deputies and arrested for Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Exposure of a Person as he had exposed his genitals to a 16-year-old individual. Deputies had located Santilli in the Pittsford Public Library. He was issued an appearance ticket and released per NYS law.

On 10-21-24 at 3:36 p.m., Luis O. Rivera IV (41 yoa) stole $262.87 in cologne and headphones. He left the location after refusing to return the items. Deputies found Luis in the vicinity, apprehended him, and he was identified in a lineup. Lewis was issued an appearance ticket.

The victim reports he is employed at Marshalls and sometime between 10:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on 10/13/2024, an unknown suspect(s) stole his 2020 KIA Optima.

Petit Larceny / Fastrac Hylan Drive / 24-182845

Fastrac reports on 10/14/2024 at approximately 6:04 p.m., a 30 to 35-year-old male, described as 6 feet tall and about 140 pounds wearing a red hat, gray sweater and gray jeans stole two cases of beer valued at $26.98, passing all points of sale without making payment. The male entered a gray Kia Soul.

Petit Larceny / BJs Wholesale 400 Jay Scutti Blvd / 24-183469

On 10/15/2024 at 3:53 p.m., a male in his 30s, approximately 6’3” tall, 180 pounds wearing a brown jacket, blue winter hat and blue jeans stole steaks and crab legs with a value of at least $63.18, by placing them in a reusable bag and walking past all points of sale without rendering payment. Pictures were sent to MCAC and MCSO communications in an attempt to identify the suspect.

Burglary 2nd / Criminal Mischief / Days Inn 4853 West Henrietta Rd. / 24-183488

On 10/15/2024 at approximately 4:29 p.m., deputies responded to the Days Inn for a burglary in a rented room. The room is in the rear building with its own exterior door and has been under renovation. It hasn't been rented out in weeks. Besides the unknown suspect breaking into the room, there was a set of new tires inside and the shower showed signs of recent use, indicating someone is living inside.

Petit Larceny / Casella Waste Systems Silvarole Drive / 24-184142

Casella Waste Management states on 10/16/2024 at approximately 12:00 p.m., an older green Chevrolet pickup truck backed up to a scrap metal recycling dumpster in the rear of the building. The individual, described as a slim male with dark hair, approximately 5'5" to 5'8" tall, took used brake drums and an aluminum intercooler valued at about $50.00, placing them in the rear of the pickup truck. When Casella employees confronted him about taking the scrap metal, the male escaped in his pickup truck.

CPW 2nd / AUO 2nd / V&T / Westside Dr. / 24-177333

On 10/6/24 at 12:35 p.m., deputies observed a 2021 Hyundai Tucson run a stop sign at the intersection of Westside Dr. and Trabold Rd. A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver, identified as Dewayne Baker, was found to have a suspended driver’s license and an RPD warrant for Petit Larceny. Baker was taken into custody without incident, and an inventory search prior to towing the vehicle yielded a loaded SCCY, CPX2 9mm handgun inside the pocket of the driver’s side door. A quantity of marijuana and some unknown pills were also located. Baker does not have a pistol permit. Baker was ultimately arraigned in Chili Town Court and was remanded to MCJ in lieu of $10K cash /$30K bond.

CM 2nd / Arthurian Way / 24-178588

Sometime between 4:30 p.m. on 10/7/24 and 7:00 a.m. on 10/8/24, an unknown suspect threw a rock through the window of a Hitachi 135 Excavator (Model #ZX135US-5B) while it was parked at a construction site. Bedroc Construction, the owner of the excavator, reports the cost of replacing the window is approximately $2000.

Burglary 3rd / Petit Larceny / Chili Ave. / 24-181012

Target Asset Protection reports on 10/10/24 at about 8:45 p.m., they observed known larcenist, Mahogany King, enter the store and begin to select grocery items. Mahogany passed all points of sale without paying for $567.42 worth of merchandise. Following an arrest at the Irondequoit Target on 12/5/23, Mahogany received a ban from all Target stores, classifying this incident as a burglary.

Petit Larceny / Paul Rd. / 24-183352

The manager at Byrne Dairy reports she was alerted to a possible theft in the early morning hours of 10/15/24. She reviewed the surveillance video and observed a male and female in their late teens or early 20s enter the store and walk out with a 12-pack of Arizona Ice Tea valued at $29.88. The couple left the location in a white 2015 Ford Escape.

GL 3rd / Impersonating a Police Officer / Chili Ave. / 24-178814

The victim reports she received a phone call at her place of work from a male named “Joshua Hart.” Joshua stated he works for the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and gave a badge number of 181DA71. Further, he told her she missed a court date on 10/7/24 where she was expected to serve on a panel of jurors at 8:00 a.m., and in order to avoid a criminal contempt charge, she would need to pay a fine immediately. “Joshua” convinced the victim to leave her place of work and to stay on the phone with him while she responded to banks and stores to retrieve money. Most of this fraud was conducted via a “go-to” e-payment application, which allowed the suspect to text barcodes to the victim and have a store cashier scan them and create a purchase. The suspect was wired a total of $7,500 in subsequent payment.

Petit Larceny / Owens Rd. / 24-179686

Lowes Asset Protection reports on 10/9/24 at about 5:35 p.m., known larcenist, Christopher Bosley, entered the store and selected a Carhartt sweatshirt valued at $54.99. He passed all points of sale without paying and was stopped outside the store. Bosley was arrested without incident and issued an appearance ticket.

Petit Larceny / Brockport Spencerport Rd. / 24-178925

On 10/8/24 at approximately 3:12 p.m., deputies responded to a larceny in progress at Walmart. It was quickly learned the male suspect abandoned the merchandise outside the store and left the location in a U-Haul truck. Deputies located, stopped the U-Haul, and eventually identified the driver and passenger as Derrick Ciancio and his wife. The wife was released and Derrick was ultimately arrested for the Petit Larceny. He was also arrested for possession of the U-Haul, which was reported stolen. He was arraigned in Sweden Town Court and remanded to MCJ in lieu of $5000 cash/$10,000 bond. Derrick will answer to the warrants he has out of Gates PD, MCSO, and Leroy PD, as well.

Grand Larceny 3rd / Holley St. / 24-180174

On 10/10/24 at 8:30 a.m., the victim parked her 2014 Chevrolet Impala in a parking lot at this location, unlocked with the keys inside. Around 10:40 a.m., she received a phone call from her husband asking about the whereabouts of the vehicle. Holley PD had contacted him and advised him the vehicle was being driven recklessly at the Holley High School. A short time later, Holley PD advised they had taken a male in custody after he crashed the car. Holley PD is handling the case as a CPSP incident.

Petit Larceny / Brockport Spencerport Rd. / 24-181521

On 10/12/24 at about 11:00 a.m., Walmart Asset Protection observed a male enter the store, select Red Bull, meat items, and Corona beer, before passing all points of sale without attempting to render payment. The male, later identified as Robert Guerrero, was detained without incident and placed under arrest. The value of the stolen property is $229.59, and Robert was released with an appearance ticket.
