On 9/25/24 the victim reported an unknown suspect entered her locked storage unit in the basement of her apartment complex and stole two brown hard-shell suitcases. The victim reported this occurred sometime between 9/11/24 and 9/25/24 and the lock that was on the door is missing.

An unidentified individual stole several tools, including Milwaukee and Ryobi cordless drills, from the victim's unlocked vehicle on September 30, 2024, between 4:30 p.m. and 7:40 p.m.
PL / Wegmans 1955 Empire Blvd. / 24-177569
On 10-6-24 at 2:46 p.m., Connor L. Baker (age 32) stole $325 worth of energy drinks, diapers, and detergents from the above Wegmans. Baker hopped into the passenger seat of a car and the vehicle quickly drove away. Deputies located the vehicle at 1843 Empire Blvd. and conducted a traffic stop. Baker was arrested and released on an APT.

On 10/5/24, deputies responded to the above location for a boat fire. When arriving on scene, they spoke with the owner, who stated he was sleeping on the boat when he woke up to an abnormal odor and saw a flame on the side of the boat. He opened the boat canvas, and the flame grew. He was the only occupant on the boat. His two registered firearms were lost in the fire. Nothing suspicious at this time.
G.L. 3rd / Forgery 2nd / Bay Wind Assisted Living Home 200 Kidd Castle Way / 24-178666
The victim lives at the above location and was supposed to receive a check from the U.S. Government V.A. in July 2024. Between then and now, an unknown person stole the check and cashed it at an unknown Chase Bank.
Multiple car larcenies in Penfield / Shady Run Apts. / Hampton Inn / Mariott / Burglary and Vehicle Larcenies
On 10/07/24 between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. (most likely 03:00 a.m.) there were multiple car larcenies at the Hampton Inn on Panorama Trail, The Marriott down the road on Panorama Trail, and on Shady Run Lane, which is about .5 miles away. The suspect(s) used rocks, bricks, and fire extinguishers to break windows to include some windshields. Some were only Criminal Mischiefs, some were CM/ P,L. and some were CM/ G.L. Some property was found in the area of the larcenies. Investigations are ongoing.

The victim ordered three iPhone 16’s and had them delivered to his address via FedEx on 10-4-24 at 1:15 p.m. At 2:00 p.m., the victim went to his front porch to retrieve the package and it had been stolen.

On 9-24-24 at 7:19 p.m., a man stole three female sweatshirt/sweatpants sets, three men's sweatshirts, and two men's sweatpants ($153.92). The male left through the emergency exit.

On 10/4/2024 at approximately 6:16 a.m., a dark gray SUV pulled up to the location (Magic Smoke Shop) and several individuals got out of the vehicle. The individuals were wearing hoodies and masks. One suspect took a cash register till and started smashing the window with it and was able to break the window. The owner of the smoke shop stated the suspects reached into the window and took a water bong off of the counter valued at $80.00.

On 10-7-24 at 3:36 p.m., Loss Prevention observed a 5’9 180 lbs. man steal $1,047.55 in merchandise from the store.

On 10-8-24 at 4:15 p.m., a 30-50-year-old man stole seven pairs of shoes valued at $329.34. He fled in an unknown direction.
CPSP 5th / DICKS 3349 Monroe Ave. / 24-177048
On 10-5-24 at 12:12 p.m., Kevin M. Foess (39 yoa) stole about $350 in shoes/merchandise from DICKS Warehouse and fled. Deputies located Foess at the bus stop and upon detaining him, Foess fought with Deputies and was eventually taken into custody. All property was recovered and Kevin was charged with CPSP 5th for the possession of the items and OGA 2nd. Kevin was given an appearance ticket for Pittsford Town Court in accordance with NYS law.

On 10-6-24 at 5:31 p.m., Sarah K. Ferede (30 yoa) stole $205 in meat and cleaning supplies from Wegmans. She was detained by Security and turned over to deputies for processing. Ferede was issued an appearance ticket and released.

On 09/26/24, deputies responded to the above location for a delayed burglary report. The owner of Sticky Lips BBQ reports between 10:25 p.m. on 09/16/24 and 6:15 a.m. on 09/20/24, an unknown suspect entered the attached shed of the building and stole $4,000 worth of grills and grates. There is an exterior camera pointed at the front entrance, and the owner will review that footage at a later date.

The DGA Builders site supervisor reports sometime between 5:00 p.m. on 09/25/24 and 7:00 a.m. on 09/26/24, an unknown suspect stole $2,500 worth of copper piping.
Identity Theft 1st / 1575 E Henrietta Rd. / 24-171165
There have been numerous incidents of fraudulent activity under the victim’s Chase Bank account. She reports there was a $6,400 charge to her Chase credit card, two separate ATM withdrawals of $500 in Spencerport, an ATM withdrawal of $1,000 in Henrietta and a $2,127 charge at School 31 Lofts in Rochester. Chase explained to the victim that a debit card had been ordered under her name and was sent to an address in Rochester. When placing a takeout order at Chef King a few weeks ago, she gave her Chase card details to an unknown person on the phone, only to find out later that it was probably a scam because the restaurant was closed.

There were multiple car larcenies in the areas of Green Moor Way and Loden Ln. where the unknown suspect(s) entered unlocked vehicles. Despite the lack of solvability at the scene, a stolen debit card from one vehicle was used at a Sunoco.

On 09/30/24, a deputy responded to B Zone for a delayed larceny report. On 09/29/24, the victim’s purse was stolen from the above location. The purse contained cash and several debit/credit cards. An unknown suspect attempted to use her ESL debit card to make a $1,046.09 purchase on eBay.

On 09/30/24 and 10/01/24, an unknown person was able to access the victim’s Citizens Bank checking account and make $8,083.81 worth of payments to Geico Insurance in Washington, DC. The victim does not use Geico and was not sure how someone could access her checking account. She filed a claim with Citizens Bank and canceled her debit card.

On 10/02/24, between 1:00 a.m. and 7:45 a.m., an unknown suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole $480 from her wallet. The suspect took nothing else and left the credit cards inside her wallet.

On 10/05/24, an unknown female (mask, black jacket, jeans) entered the store and stole merchandise. Witnesses saw the female leaving the location in a green SUV.

Kohl’s Asset Protection reports on 10/03/24, an unknown male entered the store and stole $629 worth of merchandise. Deputies obtained video of the suspect and will follow up.

Between 10:00 p.m. on 10/06/24 and 7:15 a.m. on 10/07/24, an unknown suspect broke out the front drive passenger side window of the victim’s 2021 Mercedes Benz. Inside the vehicle, the victim discovered a large rock and noticed that $60 had been stolen.

Between 3:16 p.m. on 10/04/24 and 7:39 a.m. on 10/07/24, a white 2019 Ford F550 was stolen by an unknown suspect, according to the fleet coordinator at DDS Companies. The keys were left inside the unlocked vehicle. He located the unoccupied stolen vehicle, via GPS tracking, on Amesbury Rd. in Henrietta. The following items were stolen from the vehicle: Buckingham climbing gear ($2,000), Samsara dual lens dash camera ($500), and two chain hoists ($1,000). Additionally, some of the ignition wiring was found to be damaged ($3,000).

At about midnight on 10/07/24, the victim received an anti-theft alert from his 2021 Ford F350 pickup truck. Upon checking on his vehicle, he observed that someone had broken out the rear passenger side window, but nothing had been stolen from the vehicle.

On 10/08/24, at 11:00 a.m., the victim received a notification from Fed Ex stating they delivered two iPhone Pro Max Cell phones to his residence. Ring Camera footage confirmed the delivery. At 2:45 p.m., the Ring Camera shows an unknown male (gray sweatshirt, dark jeans, black hat, and white mask) pull up to his residence in a black Honda Accord. The male, who was carrying a red Grubhub bag, placed a McDonald’s bag on the porch and then placed the iPhones inside the Grubhub bag. The male then left the location in the Honda Accord.

An unidentified suspect stole equipment worth $8,600 from the Black Creek Construction Inc. site between 4:30 p.m. on 10/08/24 and 7:30 a.m. on 10/09/24, according to the site manager. Additionally, the suspect caused $5,000 worth of damage to a construction truck. The equipment stolen was a 12” demo saw, a Stihl hand-held leaf blower, a Husqvarna leaf blower, an electric power washer and three gas generators.

An employee at Buster’s Market reports between 8:00 p.m. on 10/08/24 and 8:00 a.m. on 10/09/24, an unknown suspect cut the locks off of two secured propane tank containers and proceeded to steal 11 propane tanks.

Target Loss Prevention reports on 9/26/24 at about 3:00 p.m., a male and a female that he recognized from previous larcenies entered the store and selected merchandise. The two passed all points of sale with $975.96 worth of product and were taken into custody without incident. They were identified as Bily Aquinopantaleon and Theresa Rivera and charged with this crime, as well a larceny the pair committed on 8/22/24. In that incident, they stole $159.89 worth of Red Bull. Additionally, on 9/8/24 Theresa stole $169.28 worth of various grocery items by herself.

The Town of Greece Dog Control Officer reports that sometime between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on 9/27/24, an unknown suspect damaged a light bulb above the door of this location and they bent the gate latch to the dog kennel. This caused approximately $25.00 in damage. Special attention is requested.

On 10/6/24 at 12:35 a.m., deputies observed a 2021 Hyundai Tucson run a stop sign at the intersection of Westside Dr. and Trabold Rd. Deputies initiated a traffic stop and discovered that the driver, Dewayne Baker, had a suspended license and an RPD warrant for Petit Larceny. Baker was taken into custody without incident, and an inventory search prior to towing the vehicle yielded a loaded SCCY, CPX2 9mm handgun inside the pocket of the driver's side door. Furthermore, there was a discovery of marijuana and an assortment of unidentified pills. Baker, who does not have a NYS pistol permit, was arraigned in Chili Town Court and was remanded to MCJ in lieu of $10K cash or $30K bond.

Sometime between 4:30 p.m. on 10/7/24 and 7:00 a.m. on 10/8/24, an unknown suspect threw a rock through the window of a Hitachi 135 Excavator (Model #ZX135US-5B) while it was parked at a construction site. Bedroc Construction, the owner of the excavator, reports the cost of replacing the window is approximately $2,000.

Owner of the storage unit facility at this location, reports on 9/30/24 he was attempting to locate an empty storage unit for a customer when he found the locks were missing from units 40 and 41, and the lock hanging on unit 35 had been cut. He reviewed the surveillance video and found that on 9/27/24 at about 6:00 p.m., two men arrived at the location in a gray Mercedes Benz. They proceeded to cut the locks on the three aforementioned storage units and to enter each unit. They removed an older 42” Vizio TV with a value of $50 from unit 40, and they took the cut locks from units 40 and 41 with them (each lock valued at approximately $25). The males appeared to have been startled by a passer-by while they were inside unit 35. They quickly returned to the Mercedes and exited the location, driving south on Clarkridge Dr.

The victim parked his 2000 Dodge Ram in the Wegmans parking lot on 9/30/24 at about 7:00 a.m. When he returned to the truck about 5:00 p.m, he found a portable mechanic tool set valued at $200 had been stolen from the locked cab. There were no signs of forced entry and it is unknown how the tools were accessed.

Lowes Asset Protection reports on 9/28/24 at 7:30 p.m., a man wearing a blue Buffalo Bills hat, navy blue shirt, gray undershirt, and blue jeans entered the store and selected three PS Vinyl Single Hung Windows. The male placed them in a cart and exited the store without paying. He then left the property in a red 2021 Kia Forte. Review of the surveillance video revealed that the same male entered the store on 9/27/24 and took three windows on that day, as well. The value of three windows is $345.00.

On 10/7/24 at about 7:30 p.m., a man wearing a black Raiders baseball hat, a black short-sleeve shirt with a neon green long sleeve undershirt, and dark pants entered the store and selected multiple items, including a vacuum cleaner and Tide Pods. As the male exited the store, the reporting person addressed him and he provided an old Wegmans’ receipt before continuing out the exit. The reporting person recognized the male from a similar encounter where he stole a cart full of Tide Pods the previous week. The value of the lost property was approximately $200.00.

On 10/7/24 at 2:20 p.m., employees of Lakeside Building Products observed a suspicious U-Haul truck back up to the shingles and load multiple bundles. When the driver of the U-Haul was offered assistance, he declined and promptly left the area. A quick audit of the shingle inventory showed that nine bundles of Owens Corning shingles in black onyx were missing. The first suspect is described as a dark-skinned male with scruffy facial hair, in his late 30s, and wearing dark-colored clothing with his hood pulled up. The second suspect is described as a dark-skinned female in her mid-30s, wearing dark clothing with her hood pulled up.

Lowes Asset Protection reports on 10/9/24 at about 5:35 p.m., known larcenist, Christopher Bosley, entered the store and selected a Carhartt sweatshirt valued at $54.99. He passed all points of sale without paying and was stopped outside the store. Bosley was arrested without incident and issued an appearance ticket.

On 10/8/24 at approximately 3:12 p.m., deputies responded to a larceny in progress at Walmart. It was quickly learned the suspect had abandoned the merchandise outside the store and left the location in a U-Haul truck. Deputies located and stopped the U-Haul, eventually identifying the driver and passenger as Derrick Ciancio and his wife. The wife was released and Derrick was ultimately arrested for the Petit Larceny. He was also arrested for possession of the U-Haul, which was reported stolen. Mr. Ciancio was arraigned in Sweden Town Court and remanded to MCJ in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond. Derrick will eventually answer to the warrants he has from the Gates PD, MCSO, and Leroy PD, as well.

On 9/29/24, just before 10:00 a.m., two males entered the Country Max and one male began to select clothing items. The other male distracted the cashier with conversation and his partner left the store without paying for $140 worth of Carhartt items. Suspect one is described as a Hiuic man wearing a dark-colored “Backwoods” hooded sweatshirt, jeans, and black sneakers. Suspect two is described as a white male with a black beard, wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, jeans, and white sneakers. Both males left the location in a small black SUV.
