On Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at 6:29 p.m., Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a home on Reids Grove, Henrietta for the report of weapons at the location. While enroute, deputies were notified that several people at the location had been stabbed and two suspect vehicles left the location.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered one individual with lacerations. The victim stated two individuals known to the victim, Kamel Lofton and Azaria Hester, pulled into the driveway and assaulted the victim with knives. The victim momentarily escaped the attackers, ran inside, and retrieved a kitchen knife. The fight continued outside in front of the location.

A few minutes later, Lareeka Lofton, arrived at the location and attempted to intervene in the fight, suffering a laceration. During the course of the fight, a 15 year-old juvenile also tried to intervene, and suffered a laceration as well.

Lareeka Loften then intentionally tried to strike another individual with her vehicle, but was unsuccessful. Deputies located Lareeka Loften leaving the area in her vehicle, pulled her over, and detained her. She was then taken to a local hospital for medical care for her laceration injuries and was later released.

Simultaneously, additional deputies located Kamel Lofton and Hester’s vehicle travelling north-bound on East River Rd. Deputies made a traffic stop with the vehicle at Strong Hospital and detained Kamel Lofton and Hester. A child was also located inside the vehicle and deputies notified Child Protective Services. Both Kamel Lofton and Hester remained at the hospital for medical treatment to their lacerations and were later released.

Excellent work by our deputies and investigators coordinating simultaneous chaotic scenes with children and juveniles present. Great job arresting a repeat convicted felon (Kamel Lofton) and assuring he is remanded to the Monroe County Jail.
