Stolen Vehicle Arrest / Norhill Drive / 25-11394

On 1/17/25 the victim called to report his 2024 Kia Seltos stolen. Through investigation, deputies located the vehicle and the two females who stole it. They were identified as Christine Baker Dinaro (59 yoa) and Sara Aresnault (40 yoa). Both Christine and Sara were arraigned in Penfield Town Court and remanded to MCJ based on harm on harm. Christine was held on $2,500 cash/$5,000 bond and Sara was held on $1,500 cash/$2,500 bond.

 

PL / Walgreens 1695 Penfield Rd. / 25-12585

On 1/19/25 at 4:20 p.m., an unknown woman with brown hair, wearing pink clothing and a blue jacket entered the location and stole $368.56 in product.

 

GL 4th / Harbor Freight 1601 Penfield Rd. / 24-223741

On 12/16/24 at 2:08 p.m., a man described as 40-50 years old loaded a shopping cart and stole the following items: 

  • SDS Max Rotary Hammer valued at $499.99
  • 15 Deg. Siding Nailer valued at $229.99
  • Bauer surface conditioning tool valued at $149.99
  • 20V Brushless 7-1/4 Circular $99.99
  • 20V Brushless Reciprocating Saw $74.99
  • Hercules 11A angle Grinder $69.99

 The male was identified as Michael J. Fazio and on 1/21/25 he was arrested for Grand Larceny 4th and released on an appearance ticket.

 

GL 3rd / Gebhardt Rd / 25-013641

Between 12/17/24 and 1/21/25 unknown suspects accessed the victim’s checking account and stole $21,000 from it.

 

GL 4th ARREST / Home Depot 750 Panorama Trail / 25-014505

On 1/22/05 at 6:00 p.m., 29-year-old Shane A. Hewitt stole $1,161.52 worth of tools, paint and door locks from Home Depot. Store security approached him outside of the store and Hewitt fled. Deputy Chambers arrived on scene, spotted Hewitt on Penfield Rd. and detained him. Hewitt was identified in a show up procedure, charged with Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree and released on an appearance ticket in accordance with NYS law.  

 

PL / Wegmans 2157 Penfield Rd. / 25-015154

On 1/23/25 at 8:16 a.m., an unknown male suspect, wearing a black ski mask over his face and wearing a black hoodie, brown jacket, black pants, and red shoes stole two boxes of King Crab worth $159.96 dollars before fleeing in a white Chevy Equinox. An attempt to identify has been posted on MCSO Social Media.

 

Mail theft / Crown Oak Dr. / 25-016401

On 1/23/25 between 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. the victim had an Amazon package delivered to her containing Beats by DRE Studio three headsets (color red), valued at $197.00. Between the above times, the victim got an automated message stating they were delivered. Fifteen minutes later, she went to check, and the package was stolen.

Perinton 

ID Theft 1st/GL 3rd/Forgery 2nd / Vineyard Hill / 25-9541

The victim reports three checks were fraudulently made and cashed against his business account, totaling about $14,000. Investigation is continuing.   

 

Shoplifting (PL and CPCS 7th) ARREST / Wegmans 6600 Pittsford Palmyra Rd. / 25-013316 / 25-013335

On 1/20/25 at about 10:47 p.m., deputies responded to the above location for the report of a larceny in progress. Store Security took 34-year-old Brooke E. Sullivan into custody for stealing $388 in groceries. Deputies were also notified that a Mercedes had dropped her off and was parked nearby. Deputies approached the occupied Mercedes and saw bags of a white powdery substance in plain sight. Through investigation, it was determined to be Sullivan’s cocaine and she is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree. She was released on an appearance ticket for both PL and CPCS 7th.

 

Traffic Stop ARREST CPCS 4 / CPCS 5 / AUO 2nd / 156 Whitney Rd. / 25-013340 / 25-013295

On 1-20-25 at 10:45 p.m. deputies stopped a 2010 GMC Yukon being driven by Lisa M. Bergfjord (58 yoa). Deputies saw a white powder in plain view on the center console, which later tested positive for cocaine.

 

PL / Wegmans 6600 Pittsford Palmyra Rd. / 25-008379

On 1/13/25 at 11:30 a.m. a 40-50-year-old male suspect wearing glasses, a black and red plaid shirt and jeans stole a Keurig and an indoor grill ($289.08) before fleeing in an unknown vehicle. The suspect, subsequently identified as 57-year-old Richard A. Dekenipp, was arrested, charged with Petit Larceny and released on an appearance ticket.

Pittsford

GL 3rd / Wegmans 3195 Monroe Ave. / 25-12418

The victim reports on 1/19/25 at 12:30 p.m., she parked her 2015 Hyundai Sonata in the parking lot of Wegmans leaving it unlocked while she went into the store. Upon returning at 12:50 p.m., she discovered her vehicle was missing. Security footage showed an unknown suspect entering her vehicle and then driving away two minutes later along with another dark colored Hyundai Sonata. At about 8:18 p.m., her vehicle was located in the area of Garson & Goodman in the City of Rochester. Upon attempting to stop the vehicle, two suspects described as being about 12 years old exited the vehicle and ran away on foot. The vehicle was left in drive when the suspects exited, and the vehicle rolled down the street and crashed into a parked car on Webster Ave.

Petit Larceny / 660 Jefferson Rd. (Old Navy) / 25-010707

An Old Navy employee reports on 01/16/25, an unknown male wearing a black coat and dark jeans accompanied by an unknown female wearing a dark-colored coat and blue jeans entered the store and stole $577 worth of merchandise. The suspects were seen leaving the location in a gray hatchback SUV. 

 

Petit Larceny / Sierra Trading Post 660 Jefferson Rd. / 25-013696

On 01/21/25 at 3:22 in the afternoon, deputies responded to the Sierra Trading Post for a larceny in progress. Asset Protection states an unknown male wearing a black winter hat and a heavy coat with fur-lined hood entered the store, and selected a pair of shoes from the shelf. He put the shoes in his shopping cart, then went to a side aisle, hid them under his jacket, and left without paying. An image of the suspect was provided to MCAC and MCSO social media in an attempt to identify. 

 

Petit Larceny / Marshalls (720 Jefferson Rd.) / 25-013851

Deputies responded to Marshalls at 8:30 at night on 01/21/25 for the report of a larceny. Asset Protection reports a known female, Hannah Gillen, entered the store, filled a cart with various merchandise and proceeded to exit the location without paying. Gillen was confronted outside of the store and dropped the merchandise. AP recovered the merchandise valued at $118.93. Gillen was observed entering a newer model silver Land Rover with unknown registration before leaving the area prior to deputy's arrival.

Petit Larceny / 720 Jefferson Rd (Marshalls) / 25-013052

Marshalls Asset Protection reports on 01/20/25, an unknown male suspect with brown hair, facial hair, and wearing a tan jacket entered the store and stole $175.92 worth of merchandise. 

Forgery 2nd/ Grand Larceny 3rd / Samanthas Way / 25-016324

On January 23, 2025, the victim was urged by a “PayPal” email to call a number concerning a balance due on his account. He called the number and let the person on the other end access his computer remotely. The scammer persuaded the victim to mail two checks for $20,000 each to an Oklahoma address. A third $20,000 request fueled his suspicions, causing him to file a police report.

Grand Larceny 3rd/ Criminal Mischief 4th / 7466 W Henrietta Rd. / 25-013343

The victim states between midnight on December 31, 2024, and 12:51 a.m. on January 21, 2025, an unidentified individual forced entry into his rented storage unit. The thieves stole five chainsaws and a Milwaukee tool kit from his storage unit.
