On 6/3/24 between 6:00 AM and 6:50 AM, someone smashed out the rear passenger window of the victim’s vehicle. Taken from the vehicle were a purse and belongings.

On 06-11-24, deputies responded to the above location and took into custody Christian Adams, 39, for two prior Petit Larcenies she committed. Adams’ required the handcuffs be switched from one hand to the other hand. As the deputy was removing the handcuffs to make adjustments, the arrestee became uncooperative and combative, which resulted in injuries to the Deputy. Deputies charged Adams with Assault 2nd.

On 6-10-24 at 2:04 PM deputies were dispatched to Walmart for an in-progress larceny. Upon arrival, the suspect had left (stole $160.93 in steaks). After checking the area, deputies located the suspect at Burlington. The suspect threw the property and deputies chased him on foot, catching him a quarter of a mile away at 1250 Creek St, where he surrendered. He originally lied about his identity and it was later confirmed to be Mario Laviena Jr (41 yoa).

On 6-8-24 at 4:05 PM, the 67-year-old victim called a number she believed to be PayPal. A man convinced the victim to get Target gift cards, which she did for a total loss of $600.

Wegmans’ security reports on 6/2/24 at approx. 9:00 PM, she observed a known shoplifter, Kenya Redden (52 yoa) enter the location. Redden selected and consumed $17.34 worth of fried chicken and BBQ sauce before leaving the store without rendering payment for the items. Redden, who was previously trespassed from all Wegmans locations on 10/24/23 was taken into custody and released on an APT. Redden was also issued an APT for an outstanding PL warrant.

Sometime between 06/04/24 at 9:00 PM and 06/05/24 at 9:15 AM, an unknown suspect broke out the driver’s side window of the victim’s 2023 Nissan Sentra. Nothing was stolen from inside the vehicle and there were no cameras in the area.

On 05/23/24, an unknown suspect stole the victim’s bicycle from the side of his apartment building.
Identity Theft 1st / Trail Edge Dr. / 24-097519
The victim was notified on 6/1/24 that an unknown suspect used her personal information to open up two credit cards and two checking accounts through Chase Bank, one credit card through City Bank and a Home Depot credit card. Approximately $5,000 worth of fraudulent transactions occurred on these accounts. The transactions took place online, and the credit card companies reimbursed the victim.

On 06/06/24, deputies responded to Walmart for a larceny in progress. Jacobe J. Ridgeway, 25, of Rochester, reportedly stole merchandise and was detained by deputies. Walmart had previously banned Ridgeway from all stores and is now charged with the listed crimes.
Petit Larceny/ CPCS 7th / 1200 Marketplace Dr. (Walmart) / 24-098270/24-098297
On 06/06/24, deputies responded to Walmart for a larceny in progress. Walmart reported the suspects who had just stolen store merchandise were running from asset protection and left the area in a blue Subaru. The suspect vehicle was discovered at the intersection of Jefferson Rd. and Clay Rd., where deputies performed a traffic stop. The occupants of the vehicle, later identified as Robbie Scheib and Genie Williams, were detained and subsequently identified in a show up procedure. Additionally, a small plastic bag containing a white rock substance was located on the front passenger seat of the suspect vehicle. Deputies advised Williams of her Miranda Rights and she admitted that the plastic bag belonged to her and that the substance was crack cocaine. Scheib was charged with Petit Larceny and later transported to MCJ on a bench warrant. Williams was charged with Petit Larceny/CPCS 7th and released on an appearance ticket in accordance with NYS law.

On 06/08/24, deputies responded to the above location for the report of multiple larcenies. The victim reports on 06/06/24, an unknown suspect stole a package delivered to her mailbox. The package contained a Steam gaming system ($780). Another victim reports an unknown suspect also stole her package, which contained two Google Pixel cell phones ($1,747.44). The clerk at Apex reviewed camera footage of the area and saw a known male, Emil Duncan, stole both packages. Duncan has been squatting at the location and is known to the staff due to him causing issues at the facility. Deputies located Duncan in room 1625 and also observed the stolen items in plain view. Deputies seized the stolen property and completed the arrest.

On 06/08/24, an unknown suspect wearing a tan bucket hat, blue t-shirt, and black pants entered the store and stole three X-box controllers before leaving the location in a black Honda Pilot.

On 06/08/24, deputies responded to a vacant building for the report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, deputies located a suspicious truck with no license plate parked in the southwest parking lot. Upon detaining the driver, Daniel Acevedo, deputies found him to be in possession of a walkie-talkie and various tools. Deputies observed another male, Nelson Cruz, exiting the building and detained him. Surveillance video shows Cruz and Acevedo entering the building by damaging an overhead garage door and proceeding to steal various tools. Both suspects refused to speak with deputies and were transported to B Zone for processing.

On 06/09/24, deputies were leaving B Zone and were approached by two men who were involved in a road rage incident. The victim reports he accidentally cut off another vehicle on Hylan Drive and the driver, Tristian Schafer, exited his vehicle and approached him with a knife threateningly. A witness verified the victim’s version of the incident and heard Schafer telling him, “I will fuck you up.” The arrest was completed.

On 06/10/24, an unknown suspect stole the victim’s wallet from her purse while she was shopping at Wegmans. The wallet contained cash and various credit cards, one of which was used fraudulently in Brighton to purchase $26 worth of clothing.

On 06/12/24, a Rush Henrietta High School employee reports her iPhone 14 Pro was stolen on 06/07/24. Although she couldn't determine when the phone was taken, she reported the theft upon discovering its last location through the "Find my iPhone" app in the area of Chelsea Meadows Dr. Deputies contacted the homeowners, who claimed no association with the school and no children. The investigation is ongoing.

On 06/03/24, between 9:00 PM and 11:04 PM, an unknown suspect entered the victim’s apartment and stole an apartment key. Upon returning home, the victim found a window screen was popped out and the apartment key was missing. A neighborhood canvas was conducted with negative results.

On 06/05/24, the Tractor Supply Manager reports three unknown men entered the store and stole $534.60 worth of tools. The suspects were able to leave the location before their involvement in the larceny was noticed.

On 6/2/24 at approximately 8:30 a.m., an approximately 30-year-old man, wearing black pants, a zipper hoodie, and a satchel, entered the victim’s driveway and stole his E-Bike. The brown Raleigh electric bicycle is valued at $2500.00 and was last seen being driven eastbound on Chili Ave.

The victim reports sometime between 9:00 p.m. on 6/1/24 and 9:00 a.m. on 6/2/24, an unknown suspect stole her 2019 Kia Forte from the parking lot of her apartment. The vehicle was locked and the keys were not left inside. Deputies were made aware that RPD had taken possession of the vehicle and impounded it, but there is no indication under what circumstances RPD came into possession of the car other than it appeared to have been in some sort ofcollision.

While at a party at the Woodside Lodge in Black Creek Park on 6/1/24, the victim left her wallet on her vehicle floorboard and inadvertently left the doors unlocked. When she returned home, she began receiving fraud text alerts and learned her Target, Apple Store, and VonMaur cards had been used to make purchases for $1,009.45, $3,028.29, and $1,392.13, respectively. These purchases were made at the Eastview Mall and immediate area.

Wegmans Asset Protection reports on 6/4/24 between 8:07 p.m. and 8:12 p.m., an unknown suspect went through a cashier line with a carton of strawberries. While engaging with the cashier, the suspect made several requests for change in rapid succession. The “quick change” scam created enough confusion to mislead the cashier into giving more money back than was fronted by the suspect.
Grand Larceny (boat motor) / Black Creek Rd. / 24-103054
On 6/13/24 at approximately 9:40 p.m., a man wearing black shorts, a dark sweatshirt, a dark ball cap, dark gloves, and a partial face covering was captured on video walking through the back parking lot of the above facility (Rochester Community Inclusive Rowing Club). The suspect moved a boat and trailer a significant distance and off camera toward the bridge nearby. The boat and trailer were found under the bridge on the morning of 6/14. A chain, which had been used to secure the motor to the boat, had been defeated and the boat's motor (a 9.9HP black Mercury outboard 4-stroke valued at $2,800) was stolen.

Sometime between 11:00 p.m. on 6/15/24 and 11:00 a.m. on 6/16/24, an unknown suspect entered the victim’s 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee and stole loose change and a bottle of Chanel perfume valued at $120. There were no signs of forced entry and the victim has both sets of car keys. She reported finding a single diamond earring on the driver’s seat, which is not hers.

Sometime between 1:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. on 6/16/24 an unknown suspect entered the victim’s 2020 Nissan Pathfinder and stole a soccer wagon, three folding chairs, three golf umbrellas, a pop-up tent, two snow brushes, and her garage door opener. The garage door opener was later found by near the roadway, and the value of the remaining stolen property is approximately $730. There were no signs of forced entry.
Burglary 3rd / Petit Larceny / Wethersfield Rd. / 24-104240
Victim was advised of larcenies in the area during the overnight hours of 6/15/24 into 6/16/24 so she checked her property and surveillance for signs of suspicious activity. In doing so, she located video of an unknown individual walking on her property at approximately 1:30 in the morning. The individual entered the shed in her backyard and stole garbage bags, a five-gallon bucket, and a $500 Stanley Electrical Box from the backyard.

An employee of Scottsville Mini Storage reports that sometime between 5/10/24 and 5/11/24 an unknown suspect pried open the roller door of storage unit F155, causing damage to the door. The door was damaged this night because the employee drove around all the units before leaving for the night and the door was not damaged prior. The renter of the storage unit was contacted, but could not come to the location at the time to confirm if anything was stolen. No other storage units were damaged.

The victim received a call on 04/12/2024 from "Michael Sharp" at the number 724-648-6231, who identified himself as a representative of Publishers Clearing House and told her she had won the grand prize. She and Michael spoke every day multiple times a day and she gave Michael all of her personal information. Michael stated he was currently in Florida, but would soon be flying into Buffalo with a “package” for her. Michael sends an Uber driver to pick her up from her home address and take her to a Wells Fargo bank where she would need to withdraw money from her checking account to cover the expenses for Michael’s trip to Buffalo. From April 15, 2024 to May 14, 2024, the victim was deceived into withdrawing $8,877.00 from her checking account and sending the money via Western Union to various people and addresses in Jamaica and Florida. She also had numerous charges on her credit card in Texas, New Jersey, California, Missouri, Illinois, North Carolina, New York, and New Mexico for a total of $2,940 that she did not make. The victim contacted her bank, froze her accounts and canceled her debit and credit cards.

The victim was sitting in his vehicle in the parking lot of the Tops supermarket when he was approached by a man who lives near him, but he doesn’t know. The individual started yelling at him and challenged him to get out of his vehicle and fight. He then reached through the open car window and punched the victim in the face. Deputies attempted to contact the suspect at his residence, but there was no answer at the door. The investigation is ongoing.

Grand Larceny 3rd / W. Ridge Rd / 24-099688
On 06/09/2024 at 4:20 a.m., deputies responded to West Ridge Rd, Parma for the report of two stolen motorcycles. The victim states he woke up to his dog barking, and when he looked outside, he could see a U-Haul box truck parked across the street from the location with the rear door open. At that point, he also noticed the two enduro style motorcycles that had been in the bed of his truck were no longer there. Upon going outside, the U-Haul quickly sped off east bound on West Ridge Rd from the location with the rear door open, leaving one motorcycle behind on the shoulder of the road. A 2007 Husqvarna was in the rear of the U Haul when the truck sped off, while a 2008 KTM was left behind.

Five Star Improvements reports two unknown men purchased fifty items totaling $4,615.23 at Lowe’s and charged them to Five Star’s business account. During the transaction, a third man identified himself over the telephone as the owner of the company. This man provided the cashier with the company’s account number to make the purchase. The two men loaded the property into a white Chevrolet box truck with no front or rear license plates prior to leaving the location.
Robbery 3rd / Petit Larceny / Brockport Spencerport Rd. / 24-103946
Deputies were dispatched to Walmart on 6/15/24 at around 7:30 p.m. in response to an ongoing larceny. Walmart Asset Protection reports an older man wearing navy blue shorts and a navy blue shirt selected meat, beer, and other grocery items before attempting to exit the store without paying. When stopped by AP, the male attempted to pull her out of the way by the arm and then pushed her with the grocery cart. The suspect then fled the location in a black Chevrolet Tahoe. There were no injuries reported.
