Sometime between 2:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on 9/15/24, someone stole the victim’s gray 2019 Ford Ecosport from the parking lot of the apartment complex. She left the keys inside of the vehicle. 

 

PL / St. James Dr. / 24-163615

Per the victim, on 9/15/24 at around 7:00 in the morning, he woke up and realized he had left the keys in the ignition of his truck overnight. Upon going outside to check, he discovered his white Ford F250 had been turned around and was facing the opposite direction from how he had parked it the night before. Another vehicle in his driveway had been rummaged through, and a set of keys to his other work truck were missing from the center console. 

CM 4th / Russet Ct. / 24-163524

Between 7:30 p.m. on 9/14/24 and 10:31a.m. on 9/15/24, someone smashed the rear window of the victim’s 2012 Chevrolet Silverado and rummaged through the vehicle. Nothing was taken from the vehicle.

Perinton 

ID Theft 1st/GL 3rd / Crossover Rd. / 24-162804

On 9/12/24 while going through her emails, the victim noticed emails from her bank USAA Bank about money transfers. Upon checking her account, she discovered an unauthorized $9,000 transfer from her personal account to her business account. There were also two transfers from her business account to an unknown account in the amounts of $30,000 and $10,000. 

PL / 6600 Pittsford Palmyra Rd. / 24-165303

On 9/17/24 at approximately 8:45 p.m., an unknown female selected $51 worth of pumpkin coffee cake, a large pumpkin roll, and a dumpling party pack before leaving the location without rendering payment for the merchandise. The female left in a black 2024 Toyota Corolla with Virginia license plates. 

PL / Pet Supply Plus 585 Mosely Rd. / 24-167959

On 9-21-24 at 6:34 p.m., an unknown male and an unknown female (No further description) stole $274.89 worth of dog food. The suspects fled in a dark colored Volvo S60 bearing California license plates. Deputies reviewed a photo of the plate and determined it was a fake plate over a legitimate plate. 

Pittsford 

Exposure of a person / Clover St. / 24-165256

On 9/17/24 at approximately 7:02 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the above address for the report of a naked male walking around. Upon arrival, deputies found a male later identified as (A) Adam Stauffer, who matched the description provided. Stauffer admitted to being fully naked and stated he was hot. Stauffer was taken into custody without incident and issued an appearance ticket for Pittsford Town Court.   

GL 4th / Winding Rd. / 24-160427

On 9/10/24 the victim received a call from an unknown number and individual claiming to be a representative from Amazon. He believed the call to be authentic due to them providing his SSN. The caller told the victim he had purchased a fraudulent computer on Amazon for $1,495, and that to rectify the situation, he needed to get $1,500 in gift cards. As a result, the victim purchased $1,000 in Gobank gift cards from CVS on Monroe Ave., and $500 in Ebay gift cards from Walgreens on Penfield Rd., and provided the security codes over the phone to the alleged Amazon representative.

B Zone

GL 3rd / Stolen Vehicle / 15 Miracle Mile Dr. (outside Dave & Busters) / 24-162024

On 9/12/24 at approximately 10:45 p.m., a stolen vehicle was reported to deputies. The victim arrived at Dave & Busters around 10:45 p.m. and at 11:51 p.m., he noticed his black 2019 Volkswagen Jetta was missing. He called 911 immediately. During a review of CCTV the following was observed: a dark gray Chevy Equinox parks next to the Jetta around 11:15 p.m., four suspects are seen in the Equinox, one suspect enters the Jetta and drives away. The victim further reported that he may have left the keys in the Jetta. 

PL/Outstanding Warrants / 2325 Marketplace Dr. (Target) / 24-161879

Known Shoplifter, Charlotte Pollock, attempted to leave Target on 9/12/24 with a cart full of merchandise totaling $936. Deputies along with loss prevention, stopped and arrested Charlotte for the PL. Multiple warrants were cleared for Burglary 3rd and Trespass while she was in custody. 

Stolen Vehicle / Wegmans (650 Hylan Dr) / 24-161779

On 09/12/24 at 2:55 p.m., the victim observed three unknown males breaking into her blue 2020 Hyundai Elantra. The males were all wearing dark clothing and facial coverings and appeared to be in their 20’s. The victim told the suspects that they were entering the wrong car, to which one of the suspects replied, “Fuck you” and drove off with the vehicle. Later, the Rochester Police Department recovered the unoccupied vehicle at 5 Linwood Ave. 

Grand Larceny 3rd / Greenleaf Ct. / 24-164635

On 09/16/24, an unknown suspect stole the victim’s 2018 Hyundai Sonata. The vehicle was locked and parked in the D lot of RIT campus. A review of video showed a gray SUV (unknown license plate) pull up next to the vehicle just prior to it being stolen. 

 

Petit Larceny / 720 Jefferson Rd (Marshalls) / 24-164330

Marshalls Loss Prevention reports on 09/16/24, two unknown females entered the store and stole approximately $140 worth of merchandise. The suspects were seen leaving the location in a black SUV (possibly a Chevrolet Equinox). 

 

Burglary 3rd/ Petit Larceny / 1550 Jefferson Rd. / 24-164312

On 09/16/24, deputies responded to the above location for a delayed burglary report. The victim states between 6:00 p.m. on 09/12/24 and 9:00 a.m. on 09/13/24, an unknown suspect stole $150 from the cash box placed underneath the counter. There were no signs of forced entry.

Grand Larceny / 2350 Marketplace Dr (Lowes) / 24-164979

On 09/17/24, deputies responded to the above location for a delayed larceny report. Lowes LP reports on 09/02/24, an unknown female entered the store and stole $1,087.84 worth of merchandise. The female was seen leaving the location in a gray Chrysler minivan. 

C Zone

Chili

Petit Larceny / Chili Ave. / 24-163653

Target Asset Protection reports on 9/15/24 at about 4:00 p.m., he observed a man enter the store with a backpack. The man, later identified as Elbert Davis, donned multiple articles of Target-owned clothing. He then filled his backpack with energy drinks and other miscellaneous items, and he passed all points of sale in possession of $348.20 worth of stolen merchandise. Deputies and AP stopped Davis outside the store and arrested him without any issues. He was issued an AT and transported to MCJ due to an outstanding VOP warrant.

Grand Larceny 4th / Paul Rd. / 24-166063

Sometime between midnight on 9/11/24 and 11:00 a.m. on 9/18/24, an unknown suspect stole the victim’s gray 2010 Hyundai Sonata from her driveway. The vehicle was locked and the keys were not inside it.

 

ID Theft 3rd / GL 4th / Davis Rd. / 24-165769

On 9/18/24 the victim received an alert from Lyons National Bank warning of possible fraudulent activity on his debit card. It was learned that his information had been compromised and purchases were made on Monroe Ave. for $403.50 and at the Byrne Dairy in Farmington for $40.58. It was also discovered that an unknown individual contacted Lyons National Bank customer service and portrayed themselves as the victim in an attempt to unlock the bank card. The physical card never left the victim’s possession, so there is a potential that the information was stolen via card skimmer at an unknown location.

 

Grand Larceny 3rd / Loyalist Ave. / 24-169779

FedEx delivered three packages containing six cell phones on September 24th, 2024, at 1:26 p.m. This was confirmed through surveillance video. At 1:50 p.m., the same camera captured an unknown individual wearing a purple sweatshirt with the hood up, light-colored sweatpants, and slides remove the three boxes and run to a waiting light gray SUV. The approximate value of the six phones is $6360.84.

CPW 2nd / CPSP 4th / Rt. 390 / Scottsville Rd. / 24-166493

On 9/19/24 at about 1:15 p.m., a deputy stepped out with a 2008 Nissan Altima, which was stopped on Rt. 390, partially blocking the right lane. He approached the vehicle and observed Terry Britt passed out and leaning over the center console while seated in the driver's seat. In plain view, wedged between Britt’s thigh and the center console, was a black handgun (Ruger LCP .380 Auto). The deputy opened the door and removed the gun to a safe location prior to detaining Britt without incident. The firearm was found to have a magazine containing six FMJ rounds inserted (empty chamber), and was confirmed stolen out of Greenville, MS. Britt was arraigned in Chili Town Court and remanded to MCJ on 15K/30K/75K.

Riga

Burglary 3rd / GL 4th / E. Buffalo Rd. / 24-165369

On 9/18/24 at about 12:15 a.m., deputies responded to Crosby’s for a burglar alarm. On arrival, the front door was found to be unlocked and the cigarette display was in disarray. The store contact responded and reported approximately $1,600 in Newport and Marlboro cigarettes had been stolen. When surveillance was reviewed, two suspects between 20 and 35 years old were seen entering the location through a back door and placing cigarette packs into bags. Suspect one was wearing a black hoodie with a “76ers” logo on the back, a royal blue undershirt, a gray winter beanie with a Carhartt logo, and white shoes. Suspect two wore a black face mask, red hoodie with the word “Chicago” written on the top of the hood, red and black shoes, and had patches on both shoulders. He also had a distinct tattoo on the top of his right hand.

Sweden

Petit Larceny / Lake Rd. / 24-158626

The manager at Runnings reports on 9/7/24 at about 5:45p.m., an individual wearing an orange T-shirt, jeans, and a black hat entered the store and walked to the tool aisle. The male picked up a DeWalt tool set and left the store without paying for it. One cashier attempted to stop the male and ask if he paid for the item. The male indicated he paid for the DeWalt tools at the steel counter, but there was not a cash register at the steel counter. The male left the location in a white Chevrolet Equinox.

GL 4th / Petit Larceny / Brockport Spencerport Rd. / 24-164678

The victim parked his unlocked 2019 Ford Escape in the Walmart parking lot on 9/16/24 at about 6:45 p.m. When he returned to the vehicle at 11:00 p.m., he found his backpack containing credit/debit cards, NYSDL, cash, and keys had been stolen. Review of the surveillance video showed a silver-colored SUV park next to his vehicle at 9:55 p.m. An unknown suspect exited the driver's side of the vehicle and potentially opened the passenger side doors of the Escape prior to leaving.

 

Petit Larceny / Brockport Spencerport Rd. / 24-169240

On 9/23/24, Walmart Asset Protection observed an unknown-aged male select a cart full of groceries and then abandon it in the store prior to leaving. However, AP explained the same male entered the store on 9/8/24 and stole over $200.00 worth of children’s clothing and stuffed animals. AP did not report the previous incident but wanted deputies to be aware of the suspect.

 

Petit Larceny / Brockport Spencerport Rd. / 24-170537

The manager at the Dollar Tree reports on 9/25/24 at about 6:45 p.m., a male and a female entered the store and began concealing items in a laundry basket. After a short time, the female exited the store empty-handed and got into a white Chevrolet Impala, which was parked in the fire lane in front of the store. Several minutes later, her male counterpart ran from the store with the basket full of merchandise and threw the items into the trunk of the Impala. The male entered the rear passenger seat of the vehicle but moved to the driver's seat and pulled the vehicle away from the store when he observed the employee taking photographs of the license plate. A second male then exited the store and entered the vehicle before it fled east on Brockport Spencerport Rd. Suspect one is a heavy-set male, wearing a gray shirt, gray shorts, a white and black hat, with a beard. Suspect two is a female wearing a pink shirt, multi-colored yoga pants, and black hair. Suspect three is a male wearing a maroon long-sleeved shirt, black pants, and a Yankees ball cap.

 

Grand Larceny 4th / Owens Rd. / 24-170830

Lowes Asset Protection reports on 9/24/24 around 12:50 p.m., two males entered the store and stole an AO tankless hot water heater valued at $1649.00. They left the location in a gray Chevrolet Silverado with switched plates.

Clarkson

Petit Larceny / Darla Dr. / 24-156274

The victim located a John Deere Zero-Turn lawnmower on Facebook for $800. She messaged the seller, “Gina Saba Sweeney” and agreed to send a $400 deposit via Venmo. The deposit was sent on 8/28/24, and after the funds were moved, the Facebook account for “Gina Saba Sweeney” was deactivated.

Assault 3rd / W Ridge Rd. / 24-156645

The victim was riding in the passenger seat of his daughter’s vehicle while traveling west on W. Ridge Rd. A small red sedan pulled out in front of their vehicle near Rt. 259, also traveling westbound at approximately 10 mph. The victim states his daughter threw her hands up in frustration as the vehicle slowed to a complete stop on W. Ridge Rd. A man exited the vehicle and began to yell at them, at which point they pulled around his car and continued driving. The vehicle passed them again but watched them pull into Speedway where he blocked the car in and got out to confront them. The victim exited the vehicle and told the man to leave his daughter alone, at which point the man approached the victim and punched him in the face. This knocked his glasses off and he fell to the ground. He sustained bruising under his right eye and a scrape to his knee. The vehicle sped away.

The investigation is ongoing.

Grand Larceny 3rd / W. Canal Rd. / 24-169741

On 9/24/24 at approximately 2:50 p.m., the victim parked his gray 2013 Infinity G37 in a canal-access parking lot near 4559 W. Canal Rd. He states he locked the car, went for a walk on the canal with his girlfriend and his dog, and he had the only key to the vehicle on his person. When he returned to the parking lot, the vehicle was missing. At approximately the same time he discovered his vehicle had likely been stolen, deputies responded to Edmunds Rd. for a vehicle found in a drainage creek. Inside the vehicle, the caller observed a screwdriver lodged in the shifter column. The witness observed a female with dark hair, wearing a black shirt and black pants walking briskly on the roadside in the company of a male with dreads.

 

Petit Larceny / Alice Ln. / 24-169293

On 9/23/24 at approximately 1:00 p.m., the victim received a text message asking her to call Spectrum regarding her bill. She was offered one year of discounted service for $480 and was advised to purchase two Target gift cards as payment. She obliged and shared the gift card information with the call-taker. Several hours later, she received another text message showing that there was an error with the cards and to call the “Spectrum” phone number again. She did call and was advised that a computer glitch caused the card information to be voided. When asked to retrieve additional gift cards, she realized that she was being scammed and ceased communication.
